Group size: No Minimums! 5 people max.

Who’s it for: We keep our group size small (no more than five plus guide) so you can hike at your own pace and enjoy 1:1 time with our knowledgeable guides. This makes it perfect for solo travelers and couples.

    *Times are approximate. It often depends on how quickly each person hikes, trail conditions and traffic.

  • Crystal Mountain is just outside Mount Rainier National Park. It's known for white powder, the scenic Gondola rising 2,400 feet, and epic views of Mount Rainier on a clear day.

    We'll pick you up from downtown Seattle (and surrounding areas) and drive to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort where we'll bundle up, strap on our snowshoes and go adventuring on the trails. Our experienced guides Josh and Sophia will show you the way. No experience is necessary to enjoy snowshoeing! It's nearly as easy as walking and is a great way to enjoy the great outdoors in winter.

    Before the snowshoe there is an option to hop on the Gondola for a breathtaking trip up to the top. Gondola ride is purchased separately at the ticket window. We do not recommend purchasing your gondola tickets in advance because it may be closed due to weather conditions.

    Our snowshoe hike will take us approximately 5 miles through a winter wonderland. The snowshoe trails wind their way through a heavily forested hillside overlooking the valley.

    We provide all your gear; snowshoes, trekking poles, and backpack. All you need to bring is warm clothing, good boots and a bottle of water.

    Didn't pack enough warm clothes? Don't worry, Crystal Mountain rents winter jackets and pants for an additional fee if needed.

  • Snowshoes, trekking poles and backpacks are included.

    You just need to bring water (we recommend two liters), and warm clothing appropriate for winter weather:

    • Layers; shirt, fleece or down coat, and a rain coat or waterproof coat

    • Hat/gloves/scarf

    • Sunglasses

    • Waterproof footwear (hiking boots are great).

    • No cotton - it does not dry once wet

  • We understand that sometimes plans change! Or maybe you haven't quite got your travel plans sorted yet. We want you to feel fully confident with your booking. We offer a FULL refund if canceled at least 24 hours in advance. So you can book stress free!

    We go out rain or shine. The only time Adventures In Seattle will cancel your hike is if there are dangerous conditions such as lightning, high winds or avalanche danger that make the trail unsafe. Should that occur, we will offer a full refund or attempt to reschedule you to another day.
